Hey guys,

I have had this monitor (ViewSonic XG2401) for a month now, and it never worked with FreeSync.

Now, I don't really need it as I never experienced tearing and I don't want to reduce input lag as much as possible (I know it's much lower than VSync, but still something for Overwatch/CSGO).

However, it would be nice to get it working as I know it is capable of doing it.

In Radeon Settings if I go to the display section it says that FreeSync is not supported. My RX 580 is connected to the monitor through a Display Port.

Any idea on what could be the culprit? Online threads usually say that it works automatically as long as it's DP, but not in my case.

You need to go into the monitor settings and enable FreeSync too.

You have to enable freesync in the monitors on screen display, fiddle around with it and you should eventually find it. If you've already done that and tried to enable it maybe update your drivers? and if you've already done both of those things i'm out of tips in this department. good luck! xD
