SATA SSD showing up as ejectable

Hello, I have had Windows 10 installed on my 480GB PNY SSD for a while now and Windows 10 is showing that drive as ejectable even though that drive is my C: drive and ejecting it would probably break something. 

 

As far as Windows is concerned all the drivers relevant to the drive and the SATA controller are up to date. 

 

Why does Windows do this? 

 

Could it be that I enabled "Hot Plugging" in my BIOS? But my other drives have this enabled, why aren't they showing up?

In my bios I can deactivate hotplug on the intel SATA ports. I got a few ASMEDIA SATA Ports as well, on those it is enabled by default and I can't deactivate it on them.
