1440p - IPS - Freesync

RuLeZ

Hi guys, I am looking for a Monitor for programming and CAD drawing. I dont care that much about gaming, so Freesync isnt a must, but would be nice to have.

I want to spend between 300-500 €, the most important is to be IPS and 1440p.

The ideal would be a 1440p ultrawide, but thats a bit to expensive for me, I just found nice ones in the 700€+ range.

What do you recommend to buy?

Thanks ;)

PS: I am using a GTX 1070, but I dont want to spend more on a G-Sync, if I get a Freesync, it will be for future upgrades.

Then I would just suggest buying any nice IPS screen you can find and use NVIDIA Fast-Sync.

In PCPP at least the cheapest 1440p ips g sync or freesync monitors are over 600 :/.

So I chose this guy instead, it's a 1440p IPS 60 hz monitor but Dell color calibrates it to a certain accuracy so colors are guaranteed to be good. It's also well within your budget.

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Oh thanks, it looks interesting.

I am just not sure if I get a 25" or a 27", right now I am using a 21", so both would be way bigger xD

You do want to spend more money on Gsync because it has been established multiple times by multiple sources that it is objectively better than Freesync.

You will not get the smoothness and responsiveness if you choose Freesync, so you might as well go without that option altogether and opt for a cheaper monitor.

Can I get a source on that?

If it's been objectively proven then that must mean that it measures lower latency / whatever else.
