Even more iPhone 7 problems

Once again, something went wrong with my phone. Okay so idk if this relates to me taking it in the water before but the most It's been underwater was like 3 inches and I did the thing Apple said to do and wait 5 hours until charging it again. I did so but idk if that's what caused the problems but, let's move onto the problem. My phone fried another charging cable. This is the most frustrating thing ever. I did everything apple said about its water resistance like not putting it deeper than 3 feet ever and never in the water longer than 30 mins. It was 3 inches for 10 seconds. I think that is most likely what is causing my phone to malfunction although it could be an entirely different reason. Any guess what it could've been?

Clean out the charging port with isopropyl on the contacts.

Something is wrong with the lighting connector on your phone, follow above^

I don't recall having a warranty, my mom bought me my phone for Christmas and idk what she got with it.

You get a 1 year warranty period. The phone hasn't bee out for a year yet so you can still get it serviced. Contact Apple support.
