Hello, I only just made an account but I have been browsing the forum for ages at work, honestly you guys keep me occupied while im super bored waiting for customers lmao.

The actual point of this thread is to ask for some advice with regards to budgeting for a build. im looking build a PC capable of 1080p/1440p and a decent refresh rate monitor, i have peripherals like mouse and keyboard etc. but im wondering what kind of budget would I need to achieve this. (I just need a rough idea)

I would estimate £600-£800 but of course your currency may vary the price. Where are you located?

Edit: Actually I'd reduce my estimate to £500-£800.

I edit my posts a lot.

You'd probably be looking at:

CPU: i5 or Ryzen 5

RAM: 8GB DDR4

PSU: 500-750W

GPU: Anything RX400 or RX500 (Both have low availability right now) or GTX1050ti/1060.

SSD: 240GB

HDD: 1TB

Monitor: 1440p (I assume around £200)

This is all just a vague estimate right now, I'm sure someone will knock up a suitable pcpartpicker list.

I edit my posts a lot.

I would absolutely push you to get an SSD, the user experience benefit over a HDD is massive. I agree with these lists, I'd go with the $700 build.

Agree. I omitted the SSD because it doesnt affect experience in games, as asked by OP, but does improve boot speed.

I completely forgot to add this, im at work so time is annoying to spare, I already own an NZXT S340 case in white, and a SSD and hard drive, plus a EVGA 650W G2. I used to have an i5-2500K and a 770 which was fine, but i A was low on money. B was low on space in my room (girlfriend moved in, needed bigger bed as i only had a single) FeelsBadMan. Thanks to @Jurrunio and @MrDrWho13 btw :P
