bought a rog hero today arrived tried to do a fresh install of windows 8 and i boot into the usb which the installer is on btw its a legit bought version of windows 8 and it comes up with all these bs messages on the page which asks which drive you want to install windows on.

 windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk has an MBR partition table. on efi systems, windows can only be installed to gpt disks! WTF HELLP

My Rig:

IN PROCESS OF UPGRADING MOBO AND CPU but what i have atm: AMD Phenom ii x6 1090t, Gigabyte 990-fxa-ud3, 16gb Vengeance Ram, 2x EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked (one of them is a signature edition),OCZ Agility 3 120gb, 1tb Seagate HDD,  SSD Antec 750 Earthwatts PSU  ALL WATERCOOLED by: Koolance 380A Waterblock, XSPC GTX 680 Full coverage waterblock , Thermaltake p500 pump, Bitspower Mulit 150 Resevoir, PrimoChill Tubing and heaps of xpsc compression fittings

Advanced options, erase drive partitions and install windows...

its something to do with the compatibility support module in the ROG uefi bios. which settings should i have them at? uefi and legacy oprom or what?

Select both legacy and UEFI.

Make sure sata mode is set to ahci and not ide, don't know if that will do anything for you but fixed a lot of ssd booting problems for me...

No, I use two 3K's in RAID 0 on that board no problem. Find "ASUS Secure SSD Erase" somewhere in bios and use it to format the SSD, it should work fine then.
