So my issue is that in obs I seem to be getting a pretty big frame drop that is really noticeable. I did have the problem until just recently. I haven't made any changes to my settings in a couple of months and it just started acting funny the other day. Later today i found out that don't even have to be streaming or recording to see the frame drop below the 60 fps I usually use. Also I only experience this with PC streaming if I use my capture card for console the problem goes away. Also idk if this matters but when I minimize the game to do something else obs is goes back to 60 fps but then goes right back to dropping as soon as I get the game back up.

Just found out that if play in border less window the it gets a little better still experience a little frame drop but not nearly as bad

computer specs? and what temperatures are you getting under load?

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

Is the CPU or GPU thermal throttling? Make sure that you don't have an FPS limiter on.

Not experiencing any thermal throttling also game runs fine it is only obs that acts weird i can play the game and get a constant 70 fps or above but obs will only get say its getting around 37 or so

try using a temperature and clockspeed logger which would confirm or eliminate any thermal throttling, the temperature might be the same, but clockspeeds can vary

I'm not so sure its a problem with my computer as I think its a problem with obs itself. My game runs just fine with or without obs running, obs is the only thing where I see a problem

Also I think it is important for me to note because I don't think I made this clear enough is that these setting and parts have worked fine for streaming and recording for the past year only this week did obs start to act weird. I didn't change any setting or hardware. It is not a new build or like I Swaped a part out and it stopped working or I changed some setting in obs it. It just one day it was working fine and the next it wasn't

use ddu to clean out the display drivers and reinstall to see if that fixes the issue, also try to reinstall OBS
