That actually looks intersting.

It being Kickstarter, there's no actual way of figuring out the degree of legitimacy of the campaign

Cheesy piano music with a robot voice in the pitch video never bodes well for me.

It could be legit, but IDK if the product will actually be good.  Seems to emulate the Pi's design and uses the same cpu and architecture, so idk about real-world results or overheating.  There are some good signs like that they mention they've already done a test production.  It's faster than a Pi with more RAM and disabled wifi/bt.

Could just be an overclocked Pi with soldered-on RAM, lol.  You might as well make le potato yourself.

They said they separated the LAN from USB which is a significant performance impairment of the PI.

They say its trying to be libre but if you look around for criticisms one is they picked the wrong chipset to be completely libre. A better choice would have been something to do something like the chinese loongson CPU https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loongson

Its ultimate downfall will be the fact they need to make a custom OS, just like all the other pi clones
