the best idea is not to do it, just enable live photo.

As someone with a jailbroken iPhone 6s on iOS 9.1, don't do it unless you're familiar with raw filesystems. I've seen so many people brick their Apple devices just due to not knowing what they're installing or doing.
If you're confident in yourself though, the folk at /r/jailbreak can help you get started and tell you what you'll need for what you're wanting

You dont even need to mess with the file system when you are jailbreaking.

Most issues seem to come from people "accidentally" deleting key files in an attempt to get more storage lol

Don't touch the file system!

What iOS are you on? Yalu only supports iOS 10-10.2, so if you're on anything above that you're out of luck until someone releases a new exploit

Unfortunately 10.2 is no longer being signed by apple, making it impossible to downgrade to it unless you saved blobs beforehand, which I'm going to assume wasn't done :P

So for the time being, you aren't able to jailbreak, though and iOS 10 & 11 JB was recently demoed, so that may or may not be released, but it gives some hope for the future!

No. Not unless you've been saving SSH blobs for older versions, though I think Apple killed that workaround.

no problem! Check the jailbreak subreddit periodically, they tend to stay on top of any news that comes out
