What you see up there is a new pc i have been working on for my friend.

This is my first time selecting and building a pc, and i would like it if you guys could tell me if there is something wrong with the build.

Tell me i there is any compatibility issues, if there is something bottle necking, and if someone could tell me if the CPU goes well with the video card

Im living in sweden and the pc is going to be around 13000 SEK, or $1500.

My friend is mainly going to use the pc for gaming and some school work, and probably a lot of web browsing and he is probably just going to use one monitor.

You should be perfectly fine.

For cost-saving, you could try to get yourself Windows for  ~30USD at kinguin, or other third-party reseller sites.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Ok so i just realised i had a windows 10 download in a usb next to me. Will it work if i buy a key from kinguin or something, and use the usb?

Yh you can do that . And btw i assume your friend is not going to be into overclocking ? You can save him some money and get a b250 motherboard instead of a z270 and spend it on the 6gb version of that graphics card. everything is compatilibe there

No need for Z270 motherboard with locked  i5, R5 instead of i5, get 6Gb 1060 instead of 3GB (or RX 580 if you an find one).

Cant the i5 7500 kaby lake overclock?

Nope, its locked (There were some exploits with Skylake, but I think Intel has since locked it down, dont think it works with Kabylake). Just get R5 over it, much better than an i5.

My friend seems to be fine with the current setup, and upgrading to the R5 and to the 1060 6gb might put us over the budget

R5 1400 should be about the same if not cheaper, and the 6GB 1060 is a much better buy as 3GB isnt enough VRAM anymore. (Please also quote our replies)

But there is a turbo function for the i5 aswell, wont it outperform the ryzen then?

It boosts up to 3.8, that will help it pull ahead in averages for some games but overall they trade blows there and Ryzen has better frame times and 1% lows.

Yeah this is the setup right now. I think we might go with this build, and it is cheaper than the last setup.

Much better, though b350 will be fine if not using SLI and fast ram helps Ryzen alot.

But will the faster ram make it much better? or should i just stay with the 2400

Yes, Ryzen benefits alot from it (Intel not so much)
