HELP PLS

hello guys i have a problem with my headset ( hyperx cloud 2 ) i plugged my mic and headphones to the back of my pc but the problem is that mic is not working when i clik sound and than recording devices my mic shows but when i try to speak it doesnt show any green bars but when i listen to music it shows green bars i've tested it on steam too it plays back the sound if im listening to music but when i talk it doesnt work !?!?  anyone can help ?

Little process of elimination test. First, try plugging another audio device into these ports to ensure that this in not a hardware problem on your computer. Next, try to plug your Hyper X cloud's into another PC to see if the mic works on that device.

HEYYYY THANK U VERY MUCH MATE LUV U ! apparently the problem is not with my headphones i installed them on my sister's laptop and it works so im thinking of getting an adapter with which i can connect from 3.5mm to usb
