Is the gtx 1050 worth it?

Running Raptors

I have looked on Amazon for gtx 1050's and most of them are around the sub $100 range and with a $15-$20 rebate. So at around $80 is the gtx 1050 a pretty good card for the price since the gtx 1050 ti are priced to high be worth the price to performance. Want to hear your thoughts on this as I might buy this card.

It should work, though I'd get a 1050 Ti if you want to run any newer games. The 2GB VRAM on the 1050 will limit most newer games.

Older + ESport = Fine

Newer games: At least get a 1050ti... you need more than 2GB of Vram

It is true but that card isn't at a decent price to be bought at as the price to performance isn't the best but I have considered the card.

It is actually a decent price. It's a $130 (at least for mine) card that can run AAA games on medium/high at 1080p. It's defo a much better investment than the 1050. If you get a 1050, you'll need a whole new GPU if you want to try out AAA games and have a decent experience. With a 1050 Ti, that option is open without needing an upgrade.

You are definitely right. I have just been stalking Amazon, newegg, and microcenter for the gtx 1050 ti and hoping for a awesome deal. I actually might get the ti just have to wait for my rebate to help pay for the card.

How long do rebates take? I ordered a CX450M from Newer with a $20 rebate, and I'd love to know about how long it'll take once I send it in.

I bought a M12 (I think is what it is called) 520watt fully modular psu and I sent the rebate early May and they said it will take 8 to 10 weeks. Currently I'm on vacation and I don't know if it has came in the mail yet. Although I did get my rebate for case from corsair in less than a month. So it may vary between companies.
