guys can i use the motherboard video output to use the GPU in my system?

No, the motherboard output is for the integrated-GPU in the CPU, this is disabled when a PCIE GPU is connected.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

That's not exactly true. It was in fact true a few years ago, but not anymore (mostly). You can use both, the MOBO and GPU output at the same time, but it does use the integrated GPU or your additional GPU according to what output you're plugged in, so it's not disabled. But it is still true on older motherboards.

However, you can't use the mobo output and use your GPU's performance

Oh, I thought that most bioses defaulted to turning the IGPU off, my bad.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

A lot of people use this feature for multi-display setups :D. It's funny how my local-pc shop used this as a trick to test newbies a few years ago :D

@Lucifer02 Open your case and clear CMOS on your motherboard, or try removing the CR battery and then putting it back in to reset the settings. Then try booting into BIOS again.

update i reset the entire thing by removing the battery and now the mobo display output works if i take the gpu out. but if i put the gpu in none of the display outputs register.

Now that you've done that, try entering BIOS and seeing if your GPU is recognised within the BIOS. If it is, try restarting a couple of times with the GPU plugged in and the display cable being plugged into the GPU. If that doesn't work, try booting your PC while connected to the motherboards display output, install drivers (chipset) and check if there are any BIOS updates

okay so this is my situation my PC recognizes the GPU so i was able to download all the drivers but i have made it on the BIOS so that it takes the mobo graphics first because when i try making the PCI-E as the first choice of video none of the video outputs work. So what do i do now?

Did you also install the chipset drivers? Try making both the mobo gpu and your own gpu work at the same time within the bios, so that you can boot into your system and have the gpu plugged in, while using the motherboards gpu and install the actual gpu's drivers.

Also, if i were you, i'd try the GPU on a different system to see if it works at all
