Yeah, but I think the red is a little much. I found some RAM thats all black though! Thank you anyways.

Hey im building a PC soon and need help with memory. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yHGfLD It needs to be around the price the memory that is in the build now. The main reason im changing that memory is because I do not like the flashy red cover on it. I want one thats black or not flashy. My motherboard can do speeds up to DDR4-2400 and with my budget I can only get 8GB. Any suggestions? Thank you for reading.

I think your Ram has heat spreaders. If it does, they should be removable via screws only (from my knowledge). If so, the parts needing painting are not critical or delicate and won't mind an average paintjob! :)

I'm really not sure... But, looking at pics, it seems like there are screws on the top of the sticks, which look as if they would secure the stick to a heat spreader. The design of the sticks make it look as if they have heat spreaders in place moreover, but I could be wrong!

 

What other colour of components are you planning to use in this build by the way?

Black... Thats it maybe a white accent on the memory wouldn't be bad.

A black build, with red RAM sticks, would look awesome mate! Add a couple of other red accents here and there, and your build will look really cool, don't worry about it! An entirely black build is great, but an accent colour completes the look, in my opinion.

Seriously an all black build is dull IMO, but subtle red (or any other colour) highlights would raise it above the average. It's up to you, of course, but please don't waste money on components that are exact replacements for what you already have, simply for aesthetic reasons!
