Connecting graphics card

I got the Asus gtx 1080 strix graphics card however am i bit confused. I know im suppose to connect the 6+2 pcie connector but theres another 6 pin connector on the graphics card. Do i just use another 6+2 pcie connector but without +2?

Yes. So all in all, you need to use 1 x 6+2 pcie connector and 1 x 6 pcie connector (minus away the extra 2).
