1700X hanging

I just installed a 1700x with a X370-PRO with 16gb of RAM and I have been having issues with hanging problems with normal activities such as browsing the internet and then I tried to play Prey and the game kept hanging. It is pretty frustrating considering I just installed all of this yesterday. I should mention I also have an ASUS Strix 1070. I am currently on the most recent non-beta BIOS update. Should I see if the beta update is helpful?
