Hey guys, my friend is planning on building a cheap gaming computer and wants some advice from me on parts. He's already got the OS, Keyboard, Mouse and Monitor so thats no issue

Here are the current specs Ive got based off of the Entry Level Build by Linus. Please tell me where I can improve and lower the cost as it is slightly above budget, he does not care that much about performance, just wants it to run games.

CPU: AMD A8 5600K - $109

MOBO: MSI FM2-A75IA-E53 - $109

Case: Silverstone SG05-LITE Black Cube - $55 (Wasn't sure about this one since the MOBO is Mini ITX)

Ram: G.Skill F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 - $49 (Cheapest ram I could find)

PSU: Thermaltake 500W ATX OEM PSU - $52

GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD7850 2GB OC - $199

HDD: Western Digital WD Blue 500GB - $59

Keep in mind we live in Australia and these prices are from www.pccasegear.com

Please give me any advice on where I could improve/save money on this build. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Short of finding these items at lower prices I don't see any way to cut things down. The case should be fine and the psu will fit in it. As will the gpu. You can use au.pcpartpicker.com to check prices. But I think the best you are going to be able to do is a dollar or two here and there.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

He's not in the US.

Also, that ram has been out of stock for quite a while now.
