Would you recommend me buying it for college/uni?

Yes. Since you can afford it, yeah. Even if you don't use all the power it has crammed inside, it'll last you ages, be nice and fast, and if you decide you don't like it, Macs have a much higher resale value vs other laptops. Plus, it's beautiful and awesome and all that. And if you have an iPhone or an iPad, it'll integrate seamlessly with them.

They look even more uncomfortable than the Magic Mouse, IMO.

It fit my hand comfortably, and did it's job lol. Simple mouse for moving files, etc. Don't need a high-end gaming mouse for office work.

I'll make a new topic comparing mb pro 2k17 and microsoft surface pro 5

For what I've researched (reddit, student room and more) mac and surface are the best student laptops

Only thing limiting surfaces is their ssd storage size.

Haha, anyways an iPad is good for college students. My iPad does not come with touch id, sadly

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

Yes, an iPad is great. Though he is studying neurological stuff, so he may be using medical equipment and doing tons of MS Office work. Though the iPad Pro is as nice as a Surface Pro, just it runs iOS.

Sorry to basically cop out on you, but I'd honestly look up laptops from sites in the UK, since I'm not sure if they are the same as Canadian versions.

Look for a 15" screen, since the laptop will be smaller and can more easily fit onto smaller tables (i.e. the desks you sometimes have to make do at)

Look for 1 w/ an ssd, and a good cpu. Since your budget allows for a dedicated gpu, i'd get a decent 1 too (if not to allow for dual monitors, etc.)

Once you find some, youtube reviews on them, to see if there are any wierd things.

But as far as a list goes,

In no particular order:

1. Asus Zenbook Pro (the 1 I sent you previously)

2. Alienware 15" (the new 2017 model)

3. The newer 2017 MSI 15" laptop lineup (cant really remember the names of em)

4. If you can handle touch screens, Surface Pro 4 (whichever the newer 1 is, just ensure it runs a full windows key, not the crappy version).

5. Razerblade Stealth (50/50 on this option for you).

6. Macbook Pro 2017 (mainly to give you an option between OS, and w/ bootcamp, I guess it will work fine, assuming it plays nicely w/ other windows programs).

Also pay attention to weight, a 9lb laptop may seem light, but combined w/ books, etc, your bag can easily tip 40lbs, which definitely sucks.
