These are installed per user accounts. If you remove them, you'll still have it.

More specifically, these are Universal Windows Platform apps  (UWP for short), and all those apps (which are found in the Store app in Windows 10) are installed and operated on a per user account. Everything in the Store is a UWP app.

These apps are installed in a folder that is not normally accessible. How did you do a backup? You can't just backup them, and restore them. There is registry keys that needs to be setup.

I miss understood you, it seems.

A Win32 program can create start menu shortcuts for either the current user only, or all users.

That is why you sometimes see, depending on the dev on how they made the setup, have this option:

rF6nl.png

You have 2 Start Menu folder where shortcuts are stored, which are merged by the Start Menu.

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

and

C:\Users\<ACCOUNT NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

If you delete the shortcut that is found in the first path mentioned, it will delete for all users. You need elevated credential to delete, rename, or add move anything inside.

If you delete the shortcut that is found in the second path mentioned, it will delete it just for you.

So in your case, you want to move the shortcut from the path of all users (first one), and paste it to your account. Now, only YOU will have the game/program visible in the Start Menu. All users will need to browse through file explorer to access the program and run it, if they really want to (you can set permissions to block other users for files and folders)
