Hi Guys

I've got a H55 i was given off somebody as the pump was making noises. I have unhooked the pipes from the pump itself, and found it to have virtually no liquid in which i'm guessing its evaporated.  Anyways, i want to run a mod for a secondary rig of mine and put some clear tubing on with a res and a small pump, but i cant seam to get the tubing off the rad side. Do i need to splice it and discard the tubing or is there something special i need to do so the fittings stay there.

thanks in advance :)

Something like this? Yeah it's easy, but remember the radiator is aluminium so use some engine coolant that's formulated for mixed metals, or PC water cooling specific stuff, the stuff Corsair/Asetek used seemed to have been Type D organic acid engine coolant, or similar, Glycol based.

Thats exactly what i was looking at apart from i'm going to use a res instead of refilling the AIO. Did you just snip the plastic clips off the end of the tubing at the rad side?

Both ends of the tubing where connected with plastic collars onto barbs, the rads side are metal and permanently attached, but the pump/block sides are plastic and pull out, so they're a bit easier to work with, watch out for the barb sizes though, you'll want to use converters like the person in the video ghetto modded.

Yours faithfully
