Mining with GPU?

Hello guys!
so sorry if my question is a bit noob. anyway recently, I've seen many post status on Facebook about using 1060-1080,470-480 using this cards to mine bitcoin. Long time ago I've research about bitcoin and found out that there are specifically component/hardware made to mine bitcoin because they say using cpu/gpu to mine is much slower, this hardware is like x100 of what a cpu/gpu can do. Now with the release of this new gpu cards. do they do a lot when it comes to bitcoin mining or it is still good to invest on asic hardware that is dedicated to mine bitcoin (such as antminer, avalon etc2)

bitcoin with GPU is not profitable.

people are earning by mining ethereum with these cards, not btc.

Asic cards are much better to mine BTC, GPUs are only really good for other alt coins like Eth or Zcash that are Asic resistant.

Gpu on the other hand is much cheaper to built.

Depends on what your gpu u can mine using software like claymore miner or Nicehash(recommended for beginner its so easy to setup) and use different algorithm.

Make sure u check your profit using profitability calculator it will show you what u should mine using your GPU and how much profit u can get.

With nicehash miner no matter which currencies u mine u will get paid in bitcoin and it can be transferred to your wallet.
