Xbox Broken??

Guest

Idk if im posting this in the right place but here goes.

My old Xbox (not a One or 360, an original) has stopped working properly. It will turn on, but will not display anything. When i try to open it to put games in, it will close, but then open back up again. Any suggestions? I would be ecstatic if i could fix it.

Get a new one? they are really cheap these days.

if not, that's odd, sounds like a hardware failure but no red light?

thats the thing. no red light so it isnt hardware failure. And also buying something this old is sketchy. Dont know if what i would be buying would even work.

It could be a dead HDMI port (though that usually throws a ring error) or a bad cable. If you can see if it still outputs over good ol' composite or whatever that might help narrow it down.
