I may or may not build a pc my self... i've never done it so i need some help, advices, precautions, tricks, and info before i do it.

Fort start, here are the components i am thinking of buying, i need you guys to tell me if they are compatable.

  1. intel i7-7700K (CPU)
  2. MSI GeForce gtx 1070 ARMOR 8G OC (GPU)
  3. Thermaltake Core V71 ( Case)
  4. Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB ( SSD )
  5. Corsair C5 Series 650W Modular 80+ Gold (PSU)
  6. Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-2400 Mhz ( RAM)
  7. CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO ( CPU Cooler )
  8. Windows 10 Home 64-bit Eng ,DSP
  9. TP-Link PCI Adapter N300 TL-WN851ND ( WiFi stick )
  10. LG GH24NSD1 ( optical drive )
  11. CoolerMaster Sickleflow 120 mm 2000 RPM Blue LED x3 ( Case FANS)
  12. Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX ( Sound card/stick )

As you can see, i did not include a motherboard, cause i dont know which one is the best... if you could advice me on that ( max 150-160$ )

it would be really helpfull.

Also the PSU is semi modular, so any advice on how to insert cables to it, or what i need , would be great!

For last , will the 500 GB SSD be enough? or should i get 120 GB SSD , and 2 TB HDD ? I just thought that samsung is good on ssd , and perhaps 500 gb is ok

What you should do:

shove it inside a PC-part-picker list. It'll tell you if it's compatible or not. It also informs you if there's any bios upgrades you need, so that's a plus.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

1. motherboards is really personal preference. choose the one with the best chipset in your price range with the best looks and/or features that you want
2. storage is up to the user. SSD = fast and expensive, HDD = cheap and slow. both = on point

3. the PSU comes with all the cables you need. insert them in the right orientation to the PSU and GPU/HDD/SSD or whatever and win.

have fun :)

I bought a full modular power supply and it comes with all the power cables..... work checking but this is standard practise

Semi modular just means that some cables are fixed (Hardwired). On a fully modular unit all the cables can be unplugged from the psu.
