So basically my problem is i have 50-80fps and it feels like i have max of 20fps..

and i'm running Freesync also

I know it's an early alpha game but it shouldn't lag like this

PC Specs are: i7-4790k 4ghz, r9 390 8gb, 16gb ram

maybe lower the settings ?

Change your settings from low to medium as that makes it more CPU heavy, also put post processing very low.

Change textures to medium.

If you have a computer I would recommend downloading MSI afterburner and seeing your GPU temps

as it might be throttling.

That should help, at least that's what helped me.

Maybe have more balance between the settings? I have heard something to do with screen scaling and fps issues. I don't specifically remember what, apologies.

That should help, at least that's what helped me. 

max temps gpu reached was 72c/161F and around the same for cpu so..

i have about max 50+ and min 40+ on a titan x maxwell oc'ed to 1.4ghz. everything's maxed out except the foliage that's set to very low as they say that doesn't make a huge difference after some updates. had to reduce the screen scale to 100 as 120 dropped like 10+ frames.
