Hi, this is my first post on this forum. And i know that 9999+ posts of this already exists on the internet. But none of it have worked for me.

I want to overclock my cpu to 4.4ghz, but i'm getting 80-85c on the cpu. I have tried to tweak my bios as much as i possible can, but no results.

I have made a little video to show my problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0oz0Rf-iFY&feature=youtu.be

Samsung SDD EVO 840 -128 GB

1TB HDD

Seagate FireCuda SSHD 2TB

Asus Xonar DX 7.1 - Modded

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

It should soon be done with processing

Oh man, I see the issue.  You're using a somewhat slim 120mm aio, you actually have pretty good temps all things considered xD

Many if not all 120mm aios get outperformed by similar priced air coolers. So don't expect magic. If you really want to lower temps, get a beefy tower cooler or a 240mm aio

280mm is better IMO but you're totally right

My recommendation is a minimum recommendation, dont know what fits in the haf but a 240mm should definitely work. 280mm is of course better, 360mm is even better but even more compatibility issues

I was thinking about CRYORIG A40 ULTIMATE

I just googled the fan config on the haf x, i doubt you can fit it without modding. My suggestion would be a big and beefy aircooler like the r1 ultimate from cryorig, nhd 15 by noctua or dark rock pro 3

The only problem is that i'm waiting for amd thread ripper or possibly i9. And if i buy a new cooler now, it would probably be a waste of money

Then live with it

You are in the save range of temps

:/ Maybe i can, i'm trying out 4.2 ghz and i'm alot happier with the results. Btw is this normal? https://youtu.be/n0oz0Rf-iFY?t=59s

no it's not, but as you want to upgrade anyways to a new platform, leave it as is as it works right now kinda. The block itself seems to have enough mounting pressure to keep your cpu reasonable cool for what cooler type you've got.
