I'm trying to figure out which laptop to buy and really want to hear from you guys.

Laptop's purpose:

Coding, a little bit of content creation and light gaming

Requirement:

No larger than 16 inches, because I will carry it arround quite a bit.

Upgradable, I think I will be stuck with this one for a couple years.

Budget:

No more than 3000 CAD

Any comments?

Effectively no laptops are reasonably/significantly upgradeable. On 90% you can increase the ram and swap out the storage drive. Swapping the CPU is usually possible but not worth it. Anything else is almost never worth it. Go cheaper and upgrade more often. 2c.

Damn, never seen that one. Surely is a beast though. I wonder if the cooling and battery would keep up?

that laptop is build on a msi gt62 barebone. it has a good cooling system but that i7-7700k needs a delidding because it is really hot

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Eurocom-Tornado-F5-Notebook-Review.189496.0.html

there is another laptop like this, clevo p750dm2-g or eurocom Sky X4E2. this also has a desktop cpu and a mxm gpu

My suggestion is for an i7-7700 or you could consider hidevolution for a 7700k. they delidded/LM cpu for you

if you don't need a gpu gtx1060/1070/1080 there is a clevo w650kj1 or w650kk1. it has a desktop cpu

i dont think you need anything powerful for coding and light gaming. the HD640 will be fine. Get an ultra portable. Something comfortable for use.
