My old pc has:

  • a intel pentium e6300
  • ddr2 4gb ram
  • 300w power supply 
  • my dell motherboard 0JJW8N.

go make a new form where pros will be able to look at it and advise you on it

Okay so i got the 1050 Ti but i'm in a very sticky situation right now. I have inserted the GPU into the computer but the screen is blank. If i try without the GPU it works but with the gpu neither the GPU or the integrated graphics work as my monitor is off

You can try different video cable / different monitor /  different PCI-E slot / uninstalling any NVIDIA/AMD drivers you had previously on your PC

tried all of em other than the different video cable because this is the only cable i got and it has been working perfectly when the gpu isn't inserted

What about other type of video cable? (so if you're using for example Display Port, try using HDMI?) Although highly unlikely, there may be something wrong with that particular port on the graphics card...

i have a converter and it isn't working even if i try to attach it to the mother board's video input nothing is showing up
