Me and my friend were talking on discord when all of the sudden it froze up we were still able to hear each other but his screen was froze, so he restarted it. After he restarted it i received a phone call from him and all i could hear in the background was the fans. They were all spinning at Max speed for some reason. He then tried checking to see if the ram had come out of a slot, or the graphics card( An EVGA superclocked 1050ti he got about a month ago), and just letting it run. I then asked if it beeped when it started up and if he had updated the graphics card drivers recently. He is currently letting the computer sit with the BIOS battery out. I am wondering if it is just a BIOS issue or something worse like a hardware failure and if possible how to fix it.

Update: Problem Solved Itself We Are Now Talking On Discord

Hey, This could potentially be a RAM issue too, have him try unplugging it and back in after you install the battery and reboot it!

Edit: if the PC still doesn't boot after the RAM, it could be a serious problem with the motherboard, but like @Legolessed said it could just be a random thing that is solved but turning it off an on several times.

If I had to choose between my computer and girlfriend, well lets just say you can play more games when single.:)

Agreed while he checked to see if the ram was in the slot he lost a stick of ram at about the same time he got his graphics card. I will have him try.

Then that really seems like it could be the issue than, when one stick dies the others are soon on their way.

Yeah and he has a weird config 2 1gb sticks and a 2gb stick the one that died was also a 2gb

Yea that is super strange, he should really be looking at getting new RAM, if it doesn't get booted up soon. Something like a gskill RIPJAWS 8GB if he is still on DDR3 would be a good replacement option to consider
