Well, I've only just started to get into mining crypto currencies. So I was setting up the ethminer for OpenGL, I had run everything correctly as based off a tutorial, however upon running the command line meant to start mining I got an invalid argument error, I tried enabling and disabling crossfire on my AMD cards, I changed the command line to run on only 1 card and the for it to run on 2 cards. Basically, I tried all that I could think of. But I still got the error every single time regardless.

The original command line: ethminer -G -t 2 -F http://pool.eth.pp.ua/?miner=30@[my wallet address]

All the other cmd lines I tried:

ethminer -G -t 2 -F http://pool.eth.pp.ua/?miner=35@[my wallet address]

ethminer -G -F http://pool.eth.pp.ua/?miner=30@[my wallet address]

ethminer -G -F http://pool.eth.pp.ua/?miner=35@[my wallet address]

(My max hash rate is 35.63 MHs)

What shows up after I press enter below.

B:\Mining\eth_pp_ua-openclminer\ethminer-opencl-0.9.41>ethminer -G -t 2 -F http://ethereumpool.co/?miner=34@0x16f136950DB5B9D911d4a3F37867a037A3515300

That's a really non-descriptive miner they have and probably specific to their pool. I don't really know enough about it to comment much. It doesn't use Crossfire when mining, what driver version are you on?

I use the Ethermine pool with the Claymore's Miner which is better supported.

Ah okay...yeah they said the latest driver version so I upgraded to 17.6 but I'm trying what you use, and downgrading to 15.12 Let's hope that works....

I'm seeing a lot of recent posts about a DAG generation error across different miners on Reddit and StackExchange. There must be something up with the Ethereum network if that's the case.

It'll probably get fixed in the next couple of days. There is always Zcash to mine. :)

Hmm, I've gotten it to work now with the 15.12 driver but it doesn't recognise the Asia server for ethermine...

Are you still using the same miner from the previous pool?

Nope, I'm now using claymores...Actually nevermind its working now. Are you aware of any instability issues caused by mining and using chrome?

Nope, did you get a crash or something? I've only had that happen when my GPUs are overclocked.

Hmm, thats odd, when I was mining, chrome would freeze, apps won't open, windows key refused to work until when I closed the miner, all the actions I requested from earlier would execute in a split second.

Some miners really take all of the graphics resources from your system and are pretty much unusable for normal tasks.
