3 used laptops for 10$!!!!

I ran across an intreagueing Craigslist post on Monday. Three used Laptops in unknown condition. No chargers and no hard drives but 30$. After looking at the rather grainy photos, I came to the conclusion that I was monstly interested in the Asus laptop, as it seemed to have a core i badge (I could tell from the gold fold on the badge) and Radeon graphics (red badge). After asking if I could just bu the one, he said just take them all for 10$! So all told I ended up with three laptops for 10$. The Dell and the Sony are older and nothing to write home about, but the Asus looks promising. It turns out to have a core i5 mobile prosesor (probably first gen maybe 520m?) and ATI HD 5470 graphics and to top it all off a blue ray drive. I ordered a charger and new battery off Amazon and I will update you guys on whether or not it ends up working. Even if it dosen't work, I'm only out 10$ (USD) so no big deal. Let me know what you guys think of my pick up.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're all dead, but at least they're cheap, and you might be able to scavenge some parts from them like the RAM or possibly the CPU as well if it's not soldered in.

Considering the seller wants them gone bad enough to sell them for $10 and they have no chargers and such, they could be stolen. I'd make sure to take a friend fi you go to meet the seller.

those are old laptops, good for parts of scavanging.

 

As for stolen, its been long since a laptop carried the amd hd 5000 series. So its unlikely to be stolen.

I doubt it TBH. He rolled up and in a nice BMW and probably spent almost 10$ driving out to meet me.

Yea I figure the mobile i5 ny it self is worth more than 10$.

Update, it works!!! I had to take out one of the two pices of ram so other the slot or that ram module is dead. I have already orderd new ram to try, but regardless it works. I'm honestly speechless.
