BIOS to UEFI

I'm upgrading my old system to a new one that supports UEFI. I'd like to keep all my files, but still upgrade to UEFI on Windows 8. Is there a possible way to do this?

Sounds like youre getting a completely new system? If so you are best backing up your data and starting a fresh installation, UEFI isnt the problem, its the fact that your chipset and other hardware wont be supported without a fresh reinstall.
