Windows 2.1 speaker settings

Can someone help me set 2.1 speakers in windows? On speakers propertis -> levels I moved slider on option Side but I cannot remember what was default option (0%-50%100%). In audio realtek manager do I need to set it to stereo settings (no 2.1 in drop down menu)? Also do I need to change 24bit 48000hz option?

How are you connecting the 2.1 speakers? Since most just handle the stereo signal and do the low pass filter themself

On motherboard on onboard audio, the green one

Just make sure full range is selected like in your screenshot and you are good.

There is no subwoofer signal that needs to be connected (for the x.1) since it will have its own filters.

 

So just set it to stereo

You mean full range on Side slider, to put it on 100%? Speakers are logitech z333 if matters.

No, right now you have it setup as 7.1/5.1 and thats why the speaker is showing up as the "Side" speakers.

So first set your speaker configuration to Stereo.

Next in the Realtek config screen make sure that "Full Range" is ticked. That way the low frequentie wont be filtered out.

But speakers are set to stereo., and Side option is still there. I set them to full range In realtek manager.

No idea why that side option is there tbh. From your screenshots it looks like the windows volume control thinks you have a 5.1 setup.

While the Realtek shows stereo. Maybe remove the realtek software/drivers and just let windows install the drivers.
