Laptop not posting?

So I did MS Windows reset, and I did the option to delete EVERYTHING, and I finished the reset process yesterday. When it was finished, I saw a text on screen that said "Not all personal files" can be deleted. So I clicked on continue and it rebooted. Now it's been on the screen where the white dots loop in a circle after the Lenovo logo. What did I do wrong? Will i need a new windows OS? It's a laptop and i'm not very good with them. Help me please.

Posting is generally the splash logo for the motherboard/Manufacturer. If you PC isn't posting you wouldn't see anything, Since you are seeing something, it sounds like your computer is just trying to boot into the OS.

Go into the boot manager and change it into legacy mode

Windows 10 reset is known to have some issues when trying to reset like that. Unfortunately you'll need to reload your OS. Depending on the type of laptop you have, you might have a "restore partition". If you tell us the brand / model of your laptop someone might be able to find it for you if its possible or not. 

 

Also, it should be noted that a large amount of laptops since windows 8 now have "INTERGRATED" product keys onto the motherboard. So if you can reinstall the same version of the OS that your machine came with, it might activate automatically. Again, if you let me know what brand/model your machine is, I can find out for you if this is possible.

 

And if it is, then you can simply create a bootable USB installation of the OS version you need from your desktop or another system.
