Is my boost core unusually high?

I'm not an enthusiast but I like to keep an eye on my system. while doing the valley benchmark, my Msi 1050ti oc, small single fan design, got up to 1961Mhz on the core clock and 3500Mhz memory. Nvidia says 1392 MHz is the boost and google says 1700Mhz with GPUBoost 3.0, so how am I getting 200Mhz extra without a 6 pin or fancy cooler? I'm hitting the 75w power limit which I guess is stopping it from going higher, Should I be help about this or is it to be expected?

Pretty much all GeForce 10 series cards boost to 1900MHz out of the box AFAIK

10 series cards boost really well, especially since they don't produce much heat.

It seems like it, even on the mid range cards are pretty sweet, I had to squeeze every little drop of OC out of my 750ti but the 10 just does it automatically.

No worries! I've been in a similar situation to you in fact! The 10 series cards stay pretty cool on load, so overclocking to that speed is completely fine for the Pascal architecture.
