I just built a new pc and everything boots just fine.  I am able to use the BIOS with no problem and everything , all of my wires are hooked up.  However when I go to download Windows 10 (which i just bought from best buy) I put my usb that I got from them in, configure to start from usb, and save it and run it.  I pick to install the 64 bit.  However this is where the problem is.  It comes up with a error 0xc0000098 telling me windows failed to start.  A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

Info: the operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.  What do i do?!?  Please help.

wait hold up, backing up, next time create a usb installer and buy a windows key from kinguin or reddit, just not best buy.

Also, if you don't already have a working computer this is a pretty hard task. This isn't the case for most people building a pc but it is for some.

As for the fix to this, could be a number of things. A quick google search leads here:

You can always try creating a usb installer anyway and see if using that instead does anything for you. You should be able to use the windows 10 key you purchased with the installer.

Step 1: download windows in the .iso format either from Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10) or some 3rd party site. As long as you have a valid key it is pretty much legal to download from anywhere.

Step 2: download rufus (https://rufus.akeo.ie/)
Step 3: Plug in the USB drive and select both it and the .iso operating system file you downloaded in rufus (your drive will be formatted)
Step 4:  boot from the USB drive and install Windows, put in the key and enjoy the NSA botnet ;^)
