Dear reader,

I have a bit of a problem with one of my windows 10 machines, this machine is kind of my buget version of a server.

The important specs are:

- Motherboard: Gigabyte AX370-Gaming 5 (Bios version F4)

- Cpu: R5 1600X (@stock for stability)

- RAM: Some kingston 16 GB (@stock 2133Mhz)

- GPU: nVidea GTS250 msi twinfrozer

- PSU: Corsair rm 650x (because lol hard drivers)

- a bunche of drives and one boot ssd

- a intel gigabit nic

This machine runs Windows 10 Pro with no problems until last week. (great timing, I have exams)

I could not log in to my desktop like usual I get this error message: (Rough translation)

"Can't connect to remote desktop. Try to reconnect."

So I try this three times. then i check everyting else, the network, tryed an other PC.

(when I ping the machine it respondes)

So I tried my luck with my vm's on there, they have no problems, I can connect to them, they are normal.

The next step was to get a mouse, key board and monitor. So when I hooked those up the machine didn't register the mouse and keyboard.

So when I rebooted it, I went in tho the bios to tweak the fan-speeds, every thing worked there.

But when i got in to windows, my mouse didn't work, All the lights where on but it windows didn't register the input.

The first thing i did was unpluging it and plugging it back in, now I had no lights.

By now I whanted to know what was the cause of this, So went into divice manager an manualy detected the mouse, but still no input in windows.

And thats where I'm at, I can't use a mouse and i can't connect with remote desktop.

If noboddy knows a solution I will reinstall windows after my exams are done.

If I made some bad grammar or spellings errors, pleas point them out.

When I don't responde imediatly, I'm probably making an exam.

P.S.

Anyone every tried to use windows wiith just a keyboard?

Edit:

The mouse and keyboard are a Microsoft Basic set (lol compatibilaty)

Sounds like a USB controller driver problem or faulty USB controller. That is for your USB issue.

Network, I don't really understand what you are saying, or doing.

Or you have a BIOS compatibility issue with the version of Windows. Update your BIOS.

Windows works great with JUST a mouse and JUST a keyboard. Yes, I already tested each case.

The USB controller thing would be a wierd thing, because i tested it in every usb port (usb 2.0 3.0 and 3.1) my ps2 controller does not work either but that is heilighted in device manager. I had the isssue once on my main pc, when my freind pulled out my mouse, all my usb controllers crashed simultaniusly, when rebooted, the problem was fixed.

Here is an update:

- I measuerd the voltage on the USB ports and I had a normal 5V

- I did a BOIS update, now I'm on the F6g version of the bios

But my problem is still not resolved

Edit:

- I went searching in windows event viewer and after some searching I think i found the sollutionn to one of my problems: there was an error that my graphics card was not installed porpperly and that the RDS was not able to use it
