Issue Installing ElementaryOS (Ubuntu Linux)

Hey guys!

 

I have finally decided on what Linux distro I am going to use: ElementaryOS, an OS based of UBUNTU. I downloaded it, used rufus to put it on a USB stick, and used the USB to install it on a second HDD in my PC. I restarted, and booted into Elementary.  The install screen poped up, as if I was booting form the USB stick, instead of the normal desktop: there where two buttons to either try or install elementary, and a message saying "You can install elementry from this CD, click install to continue. " 

 

How to fix?

 

All help appreciated.

Did you boot from the USB drive then?

No, the usb drive was removed.

Does it do this after another reboot?

Haven't tried rebooting it a second time. I will try it when I get home from work. Why would that fix it?

It may be confused about the medium it booted from. Sometimes rebooting can fix things.

That was normal, the question is, did you install it to your hardrive?
if you booting off USB you are just LiveBooting, it use to be LiveCD

 

EDIT: so yeah, you install it, unplug USB drive, and set boot from your drive.
