No monitor display with new Aorus RX 580 gpu

Muskup

Ok so I've got a bit of a problem. I replaced my Radeon HD 6870 with a Aorus RX 580 and my monitor display has stopped working. There is power in the monitor as the lights come on and the gpu is running with all the fans going etc. The monitor display works if I remove the gpu and plug it into the mobo. However if I connect my gpu and run it through the mobo it doesn't work.  If I put my old gpu back in, the monitor works again. My PSU is a Antec 520W. I have seen many cases like this on the internet and have tried many things to get it working.

- Uninstalling old gpu drivers

- Taking out the RAM and putting it back in

- Installing the new gpu drivers

- Changing BIOS options

- Disabling on board graphics card

I was wondering if there could be a problem with the PCI-E cable as the new gpu has 8 slots and the PSU cable I'm using is a 6+2 bit cable. Could that be causing the problem?

If not can anyone think of what may be causing the issue?

I'm in the process of sending it back. Will update once I learn more. Cheers!

I thought I'd come back and let you know how I went. I just had to update my mobo bios and it started working again. Thanks for your help!
