CX450 is $110.

No, i am trying to explain 1060 3GB is bad value.

I'm so tired of you (you always argue some ridicoulous claim) I'm just going to stop arguing for today and continue this tommorow.

Thanks :) You guys are a really big help, as I have no experience building.

The PSU, could you recommend one that would fit the budget?

don't cheap out on the power supply. the CX450M is $12 more FFS. you can get a cheaper B350 Pro4 and use the money on the psu, hdd or anything else, no ned for that x370 board.

No, because again, they're a completely different league of GPU and you've said multiple times that you have a "really tight budget".

That's even more expensive than anything any one else has recommended? With a worse PSU.

Get the 3GB GTX 1060 if you want to save about $90.

Get the larger, better 250GB 850 EVO SSD if you can. If not, a 120GB SSD will be fine.

Sorry Accidentally screwed the parts list.

I've not made any claim, never mind a "ridicoulous claim". In fact, you're the one making the claim here, hence why the burden of proof lies on you.

Um, no. That's not how it works. You don't get to tap out of an argument you started because you have zero proof, and then return later to continue 'arguing'. I'll just ignore you anyway unless you actually post something of relevance, with some actual evidence.

for editing, you are going to be using CUDA cores, a gtx 970 will be more than enough, for something low powered a gtx 1050ti will be better, get a 980ti if you can afford it. gtx 1060 3gb is not worth getting. AMD cards have open CL support, it will depend on what editing program you use, amd should be supported in most programs.

The software I use doesn't support CUDA or open CL at the moment.

what do you use? so what's the point of getting CUDA or open CL, if you have no support.

you will have support for both,

good cards

-970

-980ti/fury x

- 1050ti( low powered, not vary good at gaming)

- gtx 1070

any of those cards are good for gaming and video editing.

I want to game as well, And I want it as cheap as possible, $400 NZD? Probably want at least 6gb VRAM so don't have to upgrade as quick. I may edit 4k in the future so want something that is super cheap so not a worry to upgrade, something that can handle it or something that will work in SLI / Crossfire.

What about a 1060 6GB as that is what I currently have?
