Is the Default Heatsink on Ryzen 1600 good for overclocking

The stock cooler is actually pretty decent.

Most chips get to 3.8 on stock cooler.

Im planning on overclocking the ryzen 1600 and im wondering if the included heatsink is enough.

And if you have any temps drop it below

Any after market cooler suggestions would also be appreciated

It will be OK if you won't overclock, but if you want to definitely get something more. The CRYORIG H7 is good, but might not offer as much OC potential as something like the H5.

Edit: if you want to OC far, that is. Standard overclock are fine on stock cooler.

You would need an upgrade kit which you can get here: http://www.cryorig.com/getam4.php As the site says the Crosshair 6 Hero board supports the AM3 version of this cooler so if you have that you'll be fine. Otherwise you can look for an upgrade kit at your part dealer of your choice. I got my 212X upgrade kit that way.

Edit: spelling mistake
