Yesterday I went into  a local market looking for a new monitor. My brother is looking for something just to type word docs on and I came across an old amd pc. I asked the guy to show me it worked. He came over and plugged it in to a monitor. It booted up to the bios so I bought it. He gave me the monitor for free too. I got back home and took of the side panel. I removed the RAM to get easy access to the cpu fan connecter and unplugged the fan. I then vaccumbed the van. Then I reseated the RAM. reconnected the CPU FAN and plugged it in.  A little red light at the bottom left of the board indicated power but when I tried to power on the machine it was dead. I googled around, tried reseating the ram. Replugging in the CPU Fan but nothing helped.

I ordered new DDR1 Ram.
