It comes with the drivers for your SATA controller (chipset drivers etc)

You could just disable that software from starting up when your PC starts (it's usually some tool that allows you to create RAID using multiple hard drives and see hard drive information you can see with any SMART data viewer)

 

use msconfig or some other tool that allows you to disable programs that start automatically when you turn on the laptop.

Hi, every time i open my laptop (Sony VAIO F Series) i always get a pop up message about Intel rapid storage technology, my question is what the hell is intel rapid storage technology?
