gsync question

Cl1362

do you guys think gsync is worth it for a premium while using a 1080 ti asus strix card

2560 x 1440 at 144hz and 3440 x 1440 at 100hz

debating if the premium ill be paying for gsync is worth it for shooting games (pub overwatch and some story telling games)

thanks in advance.

i also multitask a lot (twitch/netflix) with laptop or tv is around.

thanks again!

The best benefits of g-sync and freesync is seen at the low end of fps (40-60). With a 1080ti I dont see you being down that low with many games without having a 4k monitor. So its probably not worth the extra couple hundred dollars (depending on your location).

CPU: Intel i9 9900K Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z390-F RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX @ 3000MHz CL15 GPU: Gigabyte 1080Ti Windforce w/ AIO Liquid cooler Case: Fractal Design Define S Storage: 500GB Samsung 970 Evo NVME, 1TB OCZ Trion 150, 1TB SanDisk Ultra II, 2TB Samsung 860 QVO PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 Gold 850W Display: 1440p 144Hz Acer XG270HU CPU Cooling: Noctua NH-D15 Keyboard: Logitech G Pro TKL Mouse: Logitech G403 Wireless Sound: Fiio E10k + Sennheiser HD6xx + Logitech Desktop Tower Speakers OS: Windows 10 Home

currently debating between keeping my x34 ips 100hz 3440 x1440 or switching it to two ips 27 in 144hz 1440p monitors.

since the 200hz ultrawide monitor wont be coming out till late this year. i rather not wait.

wondering what would be my best deal. gsync with a 1080ti doesnt seem to be inportant. but im very confused on what would be the best option/deal

dual 27 144hz 1440p monitors or 1 ultrawide 1440p 100hz

I think 1440Hz monitors will let you travel back in time.

I haven't used ultrawide monitors before but if you enjoy using it then dont switch, the 44hz difference is hardly noticeable

Actually no.

G sync makes the most difference at high refresh rates by making small changes in fps virtually unnoticeable.
