Overheating amd fx6100 ?

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

It shouldn't shut off at all due to temps, it will downclock first. Probably just a unstable system, try removing oc before thinking about about stability.

Hi I'm currently using my amd fx6100 as my streaming pc as I have my intel i5 7500 as my gaming pc. I had overclocked the amd fx 6100 to 3.8ghz when I had it as a gaming pc so left it for streaming, however over the last week I have noticed its gone to 60 - 80 degrees and once today while streaming turned off by its self. Do i need to turn the over clock down a little? Or is it because it's 25-27 degrees in th uk currently causing a issue? I did take the side panel off to help cool it down which strangely worked and it's only when streaming.

thanks

Oh ok I thought there was a fail safe in the bios that shuts down at a certain temp, I'll try turning the oc off see what happens.
