H100i v2 problem

Hey guys so a few days ago my original h100i the pump died in it (RiP h100i). So i bought the h100i v2 as amazon didn't have the one i had before but from what i've heard its basically the same just a changed cooler design etc.

Anyway's the problem is that when i change the settings in corsair link from either performance - balanced - quiet it changes the fan speed and pump speed like it's supposed to but it's also changing one of the motherboard fans speeds aswell? 

My motherboard is a z97x gaming 5 btw and i've set the fans in bio's to full speed anyways as it gets rather hot in my room.

Is it supposed to do this? My previous cooler the h100i didn't change the fan speed on my motherboard.

Do you have control of that fan in the header from Corsair Link? If so just manually set the curve.

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself
