I have a NP300 Laptop that had a lot of issues since i bought it. but since i was broke, i didn't buy a new one. I just kept fixing and upgrading it. starting with adding ram to changing hard drive to SSD and replacing dead screen and soo on. but for two years i had a dead usb port and card reader port on it that i could not fix. i tried all kinds of software fixes that you can imagine. from bios upgrades to turning of my power management options and reinstalling bus controllers. none of which helped. I even went as far as replacing the USB port physically. I didn't solder it though, It was modular. I just wanted to know if anyone have a solution short of replacing motherboard, because it is way to hard. the GPU is soldered. and i do not know how to use solder balls to solder a gpu nor do i know where to find equipment for it. It would be a great achievement if it fix the worst laptop i ever had to its full functionality. thank you all in advance.
