I think this build may be better, the fx series is kind of outdated. You probably don't need to have 16gb of ram, unless there is a specific reason you do. There may be a better Ryzen option, but I have not done to much research on those CPU's.

Best of luck.

I need 16 gbs because I'm fine with 8 with ddr4 but with ddr3 I always go for 16

For the love of blue please do not get FX processor in 2017

It is old, obsolete and offers upgrade to FX 8350 which is also old and can not compete with modern Intel core i3

Why do you need 16GB of RAM? I am yet to see any game that uses more than 8GB of RAM

You would get bottleneck by CPU and GPU first before being limited by RAM

I'm trying to make a computer with all parts only from amazon, because that is the only thing available to me, that is $650 (after tax is included) I wanted some help to think about what to change

Here is my pcpartpicker list:

Just wanted to say that I also want to do a little content creation like animation

To tell everyone that it isn't a strictly gaming pc

Look, it's a BUDGET build plus it's almost 4 GHz

I put a R5 1400 in around $650 what do you want more? People also suggested same thing for around that budget too.

Look at the score, I don't know what else I need to convince you

4ghz means absolutely NOTHING in performance. the athlon 860k is based on an old and very slow architecture.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Ghz =/= performance

There is a hidden value in every processor architecture - it's called Instructions Per Clock or IPC.

FX has a very low IPC when compared to Kaby/Ryzen.

Athlon (Kaveri?) has an even lower IPC.

Ryzen for example is 54% faster per core than FX, and probably around 70% faster per core than Athlon.

idk

Athlon has been around for longer, and as such as a higher market share than the newer Ryzen processor.

Also - the prices are incorrect on UserBenchmark.

idk

all Athlon and fx processors should be scrapped for materials at this point. What ryzen or intel offers you other than a massive increase in performance (which it does) is pcie 3.0, m.2/nvme storage options, better upgrade paths (which is huge), better power consumption, usb 3.1/thunderbolt support, and ddr4 ram support. Please. for all that is holy, don't waste your money on those ancient architectures.
