Windows 7 oem help

So awhile back I got a computer built for myself by Cyberpower pc(I know I wanted to do it myself but didnt have the time) and I'm assuming they used an oem version of windows 7. At this point I would like to stop using the original case and downsize to a mini-ATX case. Will I be able to switch mother boards and continue using that copy of Win.7 or will I have to buy a new one? Thanks for reading.

Some OEMs are tied to the motherboard, but others are just an OEM code, not quite sure on this one :-)

yeah it did come with its own CyberPower PC copy of Win7 disk and thats all if that helps I might just call them up and talk to them.

judging by their website, CyberPower isn't HP or Dell or (insert OEM name here). I think they use off the shelf parts to build pcs. You should be okay with the same code.

Find your COE sticker. If it has Cyberpower brand, then you most likely need new key. I, however, think that you will be ok with that copy. Cyberpower doesn't sound like major company which would have branding on OEMs.
