Interference/buzzing in my Reciever

i have an Optimus STA-795 digital synthesized AM/FM stereo reciever. i have my headphones (sennheiser 558)  and speakers plugged into it and my PC. when using my speakers there are no audio issues (just standard 2 wire bookshelf speakers) but when using headphones there are occasional moments of static or buzzing in the right ear only. thank you.
