My Windows has been acting a little strange since i bought this computer, prebuilt gaming rig from Ironside Computers. On 8.1 some of the Windows Apps didnt want to launch and i think the tile view thing didnt work either. Now on 10, everything functions as it should except the Windows UI (such as the start menu, and menus that pop out when you click on sound options, network icon, the clock, etc) will sometimes lag like hell when opening, taking maybe 5 seconds to open and lagging for a bit longer until they finally start working smoothly. My computer runs on an AMD FX 6300 and 8GB of DDR3 RAM, all installed on a 7200RPM HDD. I understand this hardware isnt the latest or the best but i thought it should be able to at least run Windows smoothly?
The most prominent issue ive been having problems with is task manager and my hardware monitor registering 100% disk usage, and its usually between the "System" process, or the "Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry" service in the task manager.

I'm at a bit of a loss, the only background services i believe i have running are my antivirus, gDrive, Iobit Systemcare, Steam and Origin, and MSI afterburner.

Any ideas? I've recently run sfc /scannow and DISM and neither have come up with anything. Willing to supply more info as needed.Capture.PNG.ac099b05be9a9b04fb7bd6796ef4f23d.PNG

It's all of the bloat ware that's installed

there is no bloat installed. there wasnt any from Ironside, and this 100% usage isnt constant. it happens at system start and after exiting some larger games, and after a while it returns to 0%.

You'll start noticing really really low speeds in opening games and booting up then after like 1 hour uses either the system will freeze or your gonna get a BSOD, another way to check (which i dont recommend) is you opening the HDD by yourself

well booting up for certain has always been a little slow, but to my perception games have been loading how they always do. would there happen to be any software that can check?

Sadly there is no software, which i have found out the hard way, basically my laptop got thrown around during luggage handling  during air travel and started experiencing the symptoms i told you BSOD, slow booting up, slow game load, crashing often until one time it didnt even want to start opened up the hard drive found it completely destroyed from the inside

thats always a smart thing to do, but i dont have money for either a replacement HDD or a backup drive right now which is why im anxious about it all

Find a cheap working external HDD and put it all in there, or you could put all of your data on a cloud, which i something i do very often to my rig, or move all of your data to a laptop which you have lying around

Feel free to quote me if you want an answer

NAS hard drive list feel free to PM me questions or anything about Hard drive as i am in love with them

"Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bullshit. Americans love to fight, traditionally" - George.S Patton

"There are four hundred neatly marked graves somewhere in Sicily. All because one man went to sleep on the job. But they are German graves, because we caught the bastard asleep before they did." - George.S Patton

"An Army is a team. It lives, sleeps, eats, and fights as a team. This individual heroic stuff is pure horse shit. The bilious bastards who write that kind of stuff for the Saturday Evening Post don't know any more about real fighting under fire than they know about fucking!" - George.S Patton

"Sure, we all want to go home. We want to get this war over with. But you can't win a war lying down. The quickest way to get it over with is to get the bastards who started it. We want to get the hell over there and clean the goddamn thing up, and then get at those purple-pissing Japs. The quicker they are whipped, the quicker we go home. The shortest way home is through Berlin and Tokyo. So keep moving. And when we get to Berlin, I am personally going to shoot that paper-hanging son-of-a-bitch Hitler." - George.S Patton

there is no bloat installed.

yup ... i have seen this happen on a fresh and clean install of windows 10 ... no other stuff installed but disk usage is always 99-100% no matter what and how much time the system had to "get things sorted out" ... it's always some windows service or something

i have not found a final answer to this problem. just saying you are not the only one.
